Whole Wheat Pizza

Again, as I have said I’ve been getting pretty good at cooking. Here’s the whole wheat pizza I made recently. In the words of Homer Simpson,”D’oh!”

I added some sweet toppings: turkey pepperoni, squash, zucchini, onions and garlic! And just used a pasta sauce and my sauce.
And now here is my finished product:

And here is the recipe if you’re interested, I cut it in half because I only wanted to make one pizza:
WHOLE WHEAT PIZZA CRUST

* Olive Oil, 1 tbsp
* Salt, 1 tsp
* *Whole Wheat Flour, 2 cup
* *Flour, white, 2.5 cup

Directions

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add oil 2 cups whole wheat flour, and salt to mix. Mix well, then add remaining flour 1/4 c at a time and need until dough is smooth and elastic (you may not use all the flour).
Cover and let rise for 30 min, punch down, divide into four sections, roll out and top with favorite pizza toppings.

Bake at 425 for 13 to 15 min on pizza stone or pizza plate.

Italian Green Beans!

I guess I have become a little domesticated in all of my free time. I recently made some Italian Green Beans with some green beans that I got at theĀ Oakland County Farmers Market when I was down visiting my mom. They had a great selection and cheap prices.
First I put some freshly minced garlic in some olive oil and heated it up in the microwave. I’m sorry I don’t have measurements. I usually just wing it. Maybe four or five cloves with 2 or 3 tbsps of evoo (extra virgin olive oil.)
Here’s the green beans washed and some cut up summer squash and zucchini thrown in too just because I had it.

Then I came with the can of Italian seasoned tomatoes. With the water/sauce and all.

Next was a little freshly, chopped basil from my window sill, why? Oh because I can!

Then I put it in the oven while I was cooking my pizza at about 350 til I felt the beans were ready.
The finished product:

It was yum-tastic.
